Description: Castillon's 1867 quartet, in three movements and lasting 33 minutes, is not otherwise available. Its second movement adagio molto lento contains a scherzo embedded within; this and the finale, a molto grave which ends with a short and sudden fugue, both suggest late Beethoven as an important influence.
