Description: Never tiring of reminding you that this composer died of dozens of self-inflicted stab wounds (a model of stick-to-itiveness!), we bring you his two sets of chamber works from 1743 and 1756 (the latter is a reworking of a 1745 harpsichord/violin set). These are true quartets, with a cello added for reinforcing the bass part and, in many, Guillemain shows that he is well acquainted with the then-quite-new sonata allegro form, making these pieces trail-blazers of one aspect of the new Classical style.
